4th Year Biology Major

I am a proud non-traditional transfer student from Laney College in the heart of Oakland, CA. My aspirations are to become a medical doctor for my home soil in the unceded Nomlaki and Mechoopda lands of Northern California. I serve as the undergraduate student coordinator for the Chicano Link Peer Mentorship Program at UC Riverside for Chicano Student Programs and am President of the NSF’s Louis Stokes CAMP Program chapter at UCR. I enjoy lounging at the beach, going on hikes and cooking.

In my second year as a biology major, I am actively working towards a career in medicine. My enthusiasm is particularly directed towards the CAMP program, which provides students with a unique opportunity to delve into the realm of research, offering a firsthand glimpse into laboratory practices. As an outreach coordinator, my primary objective is to assist fellow students in identifying suitable labs on campus. I believe this initiative will play a crucial role in broadening their understanding and knowledge within the expansive field of science.
